Who am I?

Sheila Preston-Ford has always loved art and nature. She raised three children with her firefighter husband and as her children grew and she had more time, she taught elementary art and illustrated two children's books. In teaching art, she realized how much she loves sharing her passion for all kinds of creativity. Sheila’s family recently relocated to the low country of South Carolina. Although she misses the beloved mountains of Northern California, the lush green forests and swamps are soothing to her fire weary family. She is currently the president of the Summerville Artist Guild. She enjoys planning activities and encouraging fellow artists. Sheila paints mostly in watercolors, but love many mediums. Lately she has been embracing more spontaneity in her work and enjoys the unexpected treasures that happen in the moment.
