Look What You've Done
How could you fall so far?
You should be ashamed of yourself.
So I was ashamed of myself.
This song just really spoke to my heart today. “Look what you’ve done!” I feel like I have heard that a thousand times. I even said it to myself a million times. “How could you fall so far?” Too far, I worried. “You should be ashamed of yourself?” Her next line grabbed me, “So I was ashamed of myself.”
Yes, I was ashamed of myself; for things I had done, things I hadn’t done, things I had thought, things I had no control over. Ashamed and lost, always hiding and wishing I was something more acceptable. But no more, that is the beauty and truth of this song! God really does love me and Jesus took all that sin and shame away!! Halleluiah!
Like the song says, “Suddenly all the shame is gone. I thought I was too broken, now I see You were breaking new ground inside of me” Nothing is too broken for God and I absolutely LOVE how God takes what we and everyone else might see as our biggest stumbling block and uses it to lift us up and make us His beautiful creation.
It did take me a long time to realize it. When I was saved at age 11, I understood in my head that I was forgiven, but it took me several years to fully know and believe it in my heart. You may be thinking, what could an eleven year old have done that was so bad. Well, I skated along on grace and a prayer for awhile and as I grew to know Jesus better, I was more convicted of my wrongs. I somehow forgot the message that I am a new creation in Christ. I knew God forgave me, but it took me awhile to see I couldn’t hold on to guilt that God had taken away. Thank you God for loving me and setting me free.
Look What You’ve Done
Look what you've done
How could you fall so far?
You should be ashamed of yourself
So I was ashamed of myself
The lies I believed
They got some roots that run deep
I let 'em take a hold of my life
I let 'em take control of my life
Standing in Your presence, Lord
I can feel You diggin' all the roots up
I feel Ya healin' all my wounds up
All I can say is hallelujah
Look what You've done, look what You've done in me
You spoke Your truth into the lies I let my heart believe
Look at me now, look how You madе me new
The еnemy did everything that he could do
Oh, but look what You've done
Suddenly all the shame is gone
I thought I was too broken, now I see
You were breaking new ground inside of me
Standing in Your presence, Lord
I can feel You diggin' all my roots up
I feel Ya healin' all my wounds up
All I can say is hallelujah
Look what You've done, look what You've done in me
You spoke Your truth into the lies I let my heart believe
Look at me now, look how You made me new
Oh, the enemy did everything that he could do
Oh, but look what You've done
On the cross, in a grave
With a stone, rolled away
All my debt, it was paid
Look what You've done
In my heart, in my mind
In my soul, in my life
With my hands lifted high, I'm singing
Look what You've done, look what You've done in me
You spoke Your truth into the lies I let my heart believe
Look at me now, look how You made me new
Oh, the enemy did everything that he could do
Oh, but look what You've done
On the cross, in a grave
With a stone, rolled away
All my debt, it was paid
Look what You've done
In my heart, in my mind
In my soul, in my life
With my hands lifted high, I'm singing
Look what You've done

You not espendable wambo.
Said in my best Asian woman accent. You're just fine like you are, in fact I'm rather fond of you.
