Yes, yes you can certainly boogie in the swamp. That's what we discovered this weekend. One of our favorite South Carolina State Parks is just minutes from our house, so when we found out they were having a music festival we just had to go.
Givhvans Ferry State Park is a beautiful wooded sanctuary along the lazy Edisto River. It's the perfect setting for The Blackwater Boogie. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of musical styles. Friday night was our favorite with Carly Moffa and Pierce Eden. I had to include a bit of video so you could see the firecracker that is Carly Moffa. I will definitely be attending more of her shows. I didn't get any video of Pierce Eden, but he was amazing. The bands were all local, so it was a very nice introduction to the talent surrounding us.
