Feast Your Eyes

Oh, no not again.

No. Don't worry, this is not another eye post. I am finally going to share my Guild’s big happening. The Summerville Artist Guild is having their 50th Annual Judged Exhibition this month at Old Santee Canal Park. The exhibit is a rich variety of beautiful paintings as you can see from the preview. Of course, the photos never really do the artwork justice. They are much better seen in person. If you are in the area, please consider visiting the show. Aside from the art exhibit, there are ample reasons to visit Old Santee. It is a beautiful park along the Cooper River with boardwalks and canoeing. It also has rich historical exhibits and artifacts. There is definitely something there for everyone.

Anyway, back to my great show. The Summerville Artist Guild's 50th Annual Judged Exhibition will be on display through March 29th ending in a celebratory awards reception from 2 to 4 pm at 900 Stony Landing Rd, Moncks Corner, SC

I am pleased to share that I received two awards. I won second place for my watercolor, “Hammock Ham”

“Hammock Ham” Watercolor by Sheila Preston-Ford.

I also received a blue first place award for “Jasmine and Time” in Mixed Media.

I haven’t had a chance to view the show yet, so I am so looking forward to the reception. Join us for refreshments, art, and conversation. It will be a great day.
