That Escalated Quickly
This week some friends and I were discussing our art spaces. Most of us admitted that our studios had gotten so messy we couldn't really enjoy it or be a productive artist in them. One of my artist friends talked about tidying her workspace after every creative session, so she could come back to a nice place to work. What a concept. That got me thinking about how nice my studio looked when it first started coming together.
So much space, so many possibilities. Look at that counter space. I am a notorious mess maker and keeper of clutter. I started working in my studio last fall. At first I was keeping it pretty nice. As winter came, supplies and projects started accumulating. Today I went into my studio to assess the damage.
Oh dear, that just cannot do. I think the fairy wings were the last straw. Not only do I not have any counter space left, I am also out of floor space. A place for everything, but everything is out of place.
I started cleaning up and finding homes for all the treasures and trash. I didn't finish. I may never finish, but I did find my beautiful counters.
Maybe next time I go into my studio, I can stay and paint. Those wings are really calling to me.
I suppose I could keep cleaning.
Nah.
