You Bitches!

Fences make good neighbors, but not if you are a chicken. I have been watching my cantaloupe grow from behind a carefully constructed fence only to find the hens had infiltrated my space and eaten not one, but TWO of my sweet tender cantaloupes. Oh the disappointment. We share a lot of garden scraps and leftovers with them, but prefer to do it on our terms. At least they are starting to lay eggs so that is mighty neighborly of them,
